All Around Gymnastics

Our best recommendations to make it onto Millcreek’s All Around Gym team quickly is to take 3 person private instruction 1.2 times weekly to progress the quickest.

To be on Team you must have a back hand-spring, round-off back hand-spring and back tuck.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENT 6 HOURS PER WEEK, MAXIMUM 20 HOURS
Many gyms will require anywhere from 12 —30 hours per week, we have smaller ratios so we require less time. We custom tailor our program to a degree to fit with your busy lives.
Xcel versus Junior Olympic Program:
Xcel is an All-Around gym program that includes vault, bars, beam and floor similar to the Junior Olympic program however Xcel requires a lesser time commitment than the Junior Olympic program. Junior Olympic program contains USAG’s pre-composed compulsory routines. While the Xcel program offers more flexibility in the choreography and difference in skill level of the 4 different events.
Xcel Bronze/Silver Requirements:
Floor: Round off Back Handspring, Split leap, Full Turn,
Bars: Glide, Chin-up pullover, Horizontal Cast Back hip Circle
Beam: Half turn, Handstand, Split jump Round off dismount
Vault: Straight body Vault onto soft mat system.
Xcel Gold Requirements
Floor: Round off two back handsprings, Split leap step hop, Full Turn
Bars: Kip, Cast above horizontal, back hip circle, squat on Jump to high bar, dismount
Beam:Full turn, Handstand , split Jump straight jump.
Vault: Straight body front handspring or round off over Vault.

Acrobatic Dance

Learn from the best! The acrobatic-dance classes will teach:
Leaps, turns, tumbling and combinations for dance
Transition flawlessly and beautifully into and out of gymnastics skills while dancing

We are thrilled to offer fun and exciting street tumbling classes for all ages! Our skilled coaches can help you or your child learn new flips and stay in shape, all while having fun! Learn stunt skills safely on soft mats rather than gravel and cement.  Street tumbling is a great workout and improves coordination and confidence! Our classes are a great option for active, younger boys! Boys can come have fun, make friends, and most importantly, stay safe while learning the skills they want.

Back yard trampolining skills class – Have your child learn how to safely jump and perform tricks on a trampoline. We create a safer learning environment by using spotting rigs and a bungee system to teach tricks. Children in the back yard trampoline class learn air awareness, coordination, neat tricks, positive self-esteem, the importance of safety, listening skills, how to follow directions, and other life skills all while having fun.
